Description
The Czech Republic has long been known from excellent hops, especially the Saaz variety. It is obviously one of the four varieties of “noble hops” along with Tettnang, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Spalt. They are considered “noble” because each has been grown in specific parts of Europe for hundreds of years and gives distinctive flavors to European pilsners and lagers. Saaz is known all over the world for its low alpha acid content and high alpha / beta ratio, creating hops that impart a delicate and pleasant bitterness. The composition of the oils creates a pure, deep herbal aroma.
